The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-39), the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), and Christ's New Commandment (John 13:34-35) motivate everything we do at the Ridge.
Our Worship Team is comprised of instrumentalists, vocalists, actors, decorators, and A/V techs, all working together to make our Sunday Morning Worship Celebration a great time for the "gathered church." Ushers, greeters, and the load crew lend their aid to make Sundays a joyous experience.
Discipleship Teams give new and growing Christ-followers the opportunity to study and pray together and build each other up on the road to becoming more like Jesus. D-Teams, comprised of people in all stages of spiritual formation, meet weekly to invest in each other’s lives and be equipped in a way that brings forth real spiritual growth.
We desire to give ourselves away through service, missions, and personal witness. We are excited about our CERT Team, assisting area elementary schools, serving the people of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, and a college-age Bible study currently in the planning stages. We're always looking for ways to serve and share as the "scattered church."
The leaders in our children’s and youth ministries undergo a thorough screening and receive regular training and evaluations.
We believe that children can begin to learn about the love of Jesus even from an early age. Since our congregation is small, we encourage families to worship together. We do have fun learning activities available for children in the Worship Center to help keep little ones busy during the teaching time. We love children and love having them join us for worship!
Since our approach is intergenerational, our youth attend worship with our children and adults. As our small congregation grows, we'll be able to do more for our youth, yet we believe spiritual formation happens best in the context of the entire community, so our times together as the family of God is rich for all concerned.
Quarry Ridge believes that in order for people to grow in their faith, they need a biblical community and lots of fellowship ... fellowship and friendship provide the proper atmosphere for discipleship to occur. At the Ridge, fellowship, worship, and teaching take place on Sundays, but the best spiritual growth and nurture for adults is at the heart of our weekly Discipleship Teams where we grow deeper in our faith.
