Discovering My Ministry

God has created us in unique ways to serve Him and the world around us in ways that build His Kingdom, bring people to faith in Christ and disciple them to be more like Him. Serving Him And People Everywhere – is our approach to gift-oriented ministry - the right people serving in the right places for the right reasons. S.H.A.P.E. also stands for the five areas of our lives we use to find our best fit for meaningful ministry: Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences.

Everyone at the Ridge is asked to take the 9-week Discovering Your Ministry S.H.A.P.E. course at least once. The course will be offered 2-4 times a year. Everyone can benefit from taking the course once every year or two because our giftedness changes as the Holy Spirit continually empowers us for ministry.

Having the right people in the right places for the right reasons benefits everyone – the servant and the ministry they serve. Serving where you are gifted and impassioned creates energy and fulfillment; whereas serving outside of your gift-mix creates apathy and burn-out.

The S.H.A.P.E. course will help you find a comfortable fit in a place of meaningful service:

Seasonal Serves:
where you might be needed for a short-duration in a specific season or for a specific event.

Continuing Serves:
where your gift-mix and passion equips you to serve on an ongoing basis resulting in being energized and fulfilled in ministry.
